Sure, you could just set your alarm clock to a heavy metal station, but now there’s a gentler way to wake up with Megadeth in the morning.
The group’s bassist and co-founder Dave Ellefson, who happens to be a serious java connoisseur, has just released his second premium blend of coffee under his Ellefson Coffee Co brand.
His new offering, Kenya Thrash, comes in a red metallic bag emblazoned with a radiation symbol. It consists of 90 percent Kenya-Kichwa Arabica beans and 10 percent India Robusta with hints of grapefruit and black pepper.
“It is my aim to bring this roast to our tables and awake our taste buds, fire up our rock n roll spirits and continue the global fellowship of music, art and coffee,” says Ellefson.
The bassist’s other blend, Roast in Peace, features 100 percent Brazilian Arabica and contains notes of chocolate, dark caramel and roasted nuts.
Ellefson Coffee Co blends are hand picked by Ellefson himself and small batch roasted by Parliament Coffee Roasters. Both Kenya Thrash and Roast In Peace are available in 12 oz. Whole Bean (or Ground) bags via his website.
