Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson isn’t just known for his headbanging bass lines, he also has his own coffee line, Ellefson Coffee Co., which just added a new roast, Rock N’ Rose, to its ranks.
The new brew is a light roast blend of premium Nicaraguan and Ethiopian coffees. Debuting in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it gets its name from a Houston-based breast cancer charity called The Rose, which will be getting part of the proceeds from each bag sold.
“We wanted to introduce a new roast to replace the recently retired SHE-WOLF, and with October being breast cancer awareness month, we thought it would be a great opportunity to pair up with an amazing charity like THE ROSE, and help to raise support for breast cancer awareness,” says Ellefson. “It is a rich, full blend light roast, with some extra kick, that we are sure everyone is going to love.”
Rock N’ Rose will only be available for a limited time. Other ECC roasts include Roast In Peace, Kenya Thrash and Urban Legend. Fans can purchase Dave’s coffees through his website.
Megadeth will be playing a limited number of shows in South America this month and next, starting with a show in Santiago, Chile on Oct. 29.
