A native of Dracut, MA, Dino Monoxelos has been a bass player since the age of 13. Among his bass teachers at MI were Bob Magnusson, Putter Smith, Jeff Berlin, Gary Willis, Steve Bailey, Alexis Sklarevski, Jim Lacefield and Tim Bogert. Back in the Boston area, Dino studied with longtime Berklee professor Bruce Gertz.

Throughout his career, Dino has shared the stage with Steve Perry, Bernard Purdie, Greg Bissonette, Doane Perry, Tiffany, Chasity Bono, and countless others. He has also performed in the pit orchestras of many Broadway shows, including Fame, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Sweet Charity.

Monoxelos has enjoyed a prolific recording career, having recorded numerous sessions, demos and jingles. He is an active educator and clinician, currently serving as Senior Product Specialist/Clinician for Ampeg Amplifiers, where he affectionately known as “The Ampeg Guy.”
