Have Faith No More bassist Billy Gould and his bandmates in the ferocious alt metal band parted ways again? Well, kind-of-sort-of-not-exactly, according to frontman Mike Patton.
When asked about the status of the band In an interview with the Full Metal Jackie radio show Patton said they were currently on an “extended break.”
“I don’t know anything, he said. “We’re kind of on an extended break and if something happens, it’ll happen organically and naturally, but I kind of don’t think it will.”
“It’s one of those things, kind of like going to a family reunion and get along with your uncle and you’re like: ‘Oh, we’re going to go to the next BBQ. Fine,'” he added. “It’s really the way it is for us.”
If things do get on track again, though, it could very well be due to Gould, who spearheaded the group’s last album, 2015’s Sol Invictus. In addition to his work with Faith No More, Gould also runs the record label Koolarrow Records.
