An Illinois mother of three who had had enough of the amount of television her three kids were watching reportedly aired her frustration by firing multiple gunshots at the family’s 50-inch flat-screen set.  The kids, aged 6, 11 and 15, were said to have been watching a Primus video.

“It doesn’t surprise me,” said Primus front man and bassist Les Claypool, according to Relix.  “I’ve been tempted to shoot at the TV when our videos come on as well.”

Mom was charged with a felony for reckless discharge of a firearm and misdemeanors for child endangerment and possession of a firearm without proper credentials.  She pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.  While no one was physically harmed during the incident, the kids were taken by the Department of Children and Family Services before being placed with a family member.

Primus will be touring the U.S. in the spring, after which they’ll be performing in Europe and the U.K.
