Royal Blood has pulled the curtain back from their newest track on their upcoming album. The U.K. bass-and-drum rock n’ roll duo released their new video for “I Only Lie When I Love You” yesterday (June 8) via social media. (WATCH BELOW.)

The new video is eye-catching, but decidedly minimalist. Directed by Pascal Teixeira, it’s shot in black and white and packed full of closeups, flickering and distortion effects and acrobatic camera maneuvers. As for the song itself, it’s a straightforward rocker about twisted love brought to life with Ben Thatcher’s crashing drums and Mike Kerr’s walloping riffs.

Fans will get to listen to “I Only Lie When I Love You” and nine other fresh Royal Blood songs, when their new album How Did We Get So Dark comes out on June 16 this month.

The band will be playing St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit tonight and shuttling out to Columbus, Ohio and the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee later this week. After that, they’ll be heading back to Europe to play a bunch of dates, including the Glastonbury Festival in England and the Hurricane Festival in Germany.
