The British bass-and-drum duo Royal Blood have started trickling out a peek at their upcoming second album. On Wednesday (Dec. 21), the innovative two-piece outfit, which is known for its heavy-hitting blend of blues, garage and psychedelic rock, released a teaser trailer for their still untitled follow-up to their self-titled 2014 debut.
The short clip shows frontman and bassist Mike Kerr tattooing a diamond and the numbers “2017” on the arm of a person who appears to be drummer Ben Thatcher as sludgy bass riffs and fierce drums rage on in accompaniment to the visuals. (SEE VIDEO BELOW).
In May, the band shared a photo on Twitter of Kerr and Thatcher in the studio hard at work on their sophomore effort. https://twitter.com/royalblooduk/status/728216371922927616
A month prior they tweeted they were “recording hard” and couldn’t “wait to get new tunes out into the world.”
Earlier this year they also released an audio clip of their song “Where Are You Now,” which is included on the soundtrack for HBO’s Vinyl. (LISTEN BELOW)
