Vinnie Hornsby and his Sevendust bandmates may be hot off a recent anniversary tour celebrating the 1997 release of their self-titled debut, but that doesn’t mean they still don’t have some surprises for fans.
In fact, guitarist John Connolly recently shared a Facebook video revealing details for an upcoming album and more.
“A little later this year we’ll be hopping in the studio,” he said. “We’re kind of in demo mode right now. Probably start pre-production and recording somewhere in the neck of September / October and we’ll be hopping in the studio in November to record a new record.”
He anticipates the album will be released next spring through a newly signed deal with Rise Records and expects a tour to follow.
In the video, Connolly also spoke about Projected, a side project that features himself and Hornsby as well as Eric Friedman (Submersed) and Scott Phillips (Creed, Alter Bridge). They’ll be be releasing their sophomore album, Ignite My Insanity, on July 21.
