Sting no doubt feels like he’s walking on the moon lately, considering that he and wife Trudie Styler are about to become grandparents.
On an episode of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live that aired Monday (Dec. 12), the couple revealed that their eldest daughter, Brigitte Michael, is set to have her first child early next year; the expected due date is Jan. 17.
Sharing a memory about David Bowie, Styler noted the close correspondence of their two birthdays and that of her prospective grandchild.
“His was January the eighth and mine is the sixth,” she said. “I was pregnant with our first baby, Mickey, and he was onstage in New York. He saw us at the side of the stage and saw my very pregnant belly and he came over and said: ‘That’s a girl you’re having!’ It was just so kind of him to see me first. And now our daughter is having her first baby at the beginning of January. We’re all Capricorns.”
The former Police bassist and frontman just released his most recent solo album, 57th and 9th, on Nov. 11. He’s set to begin a North American and European tour in support of the new release on Feb. 1 in Vancouver, Canada.
