Learning bass includes things you should do — and things you SHOULDN’T do

When learning bass, you’re always hearing about what you SHOULD do.
But there are also things you definitely should NOT do.
In this week’s video, I share 3 things I’ve seen far too many times over the years that you definitely want to avoid — that is, if you want to get called back again.
Pay attention as you watch the video. If you find yourself doing any of these things, subconsciously or otherwise, work on eliminating them right away!
Be sure to leave a comment under the video, letting me know if you’ve ever witnessed this type of behavior and how you responded. I’d love to hear about your experience.
Let’s play bass!
Jon
This was awesome video. Reminds of a hard lesson at a gig. Playing a John Denver song that I wasn’t particularly fond of. I thought it needed something.
Some guy yells out..” too much Bass”!..yep I joined the band..not vice versa.
I made the change. Great video Jon.
Thanks, John! 🙂
Wow, Jon.
Excellent video! I definitely need a reminder on no. 1 & 2. Don’t have to worry about no.3.from me.(LOL) Worse thing in the world is to have bad attitude; especially when the band HIRED YOU! Not the other way around.
Right on, Petey. Spread the word! 🙂
