Trendsetting Hollander tells how he resumed his brilliant career after surviving horrific accident

Hailing from the Netherlands, Jay-Tee Teterissa is an accomplished composer, arranger and producer, as well as one of the most respected bass players in Europe. He has performed and/or toured with a long list of music luminaries, including Candy Dulfer, Jan Akkerman and Tom Browne.
His career thriving, Teterissa suffered an horrific accident in 1989, when he fell off a six-story building in Amsterdam, breaking virtually every bone in his body. While most people assumed the tragedy marked the end of Jay-Tee’s musical career, he surprised everyone with his remarkable recovery when he began walking only two months after the fall.
Having eventually recovered, Jay-Tee resumed his career with his trendsetting bass playing, becoming an in-demand artist on the stage, as well as in the studio. He is also a well respected bass teacher, attracting students from miles away who regularly attend his popular classes.
Jay-Tee’s solo release, Don’t Jay Walk, features Mike Stern, Alain Caron, Marcellino Latupeirissa, Jeroen van Iterson and the Moluccan Native Instrument Group, Nahi Sane.
