Benny Rietveld’s jaw-dropping career includes stints working with artists like Huey Lewis, Carlos Santana, and the great Miles Davis. A native of the Netherlands, Benny got his professional start playing the Hawaiian music circuit while attending the University of Hawaii. He later relocated to the United States, where he found work with Sheila E. and later toured and recorded with Davis. Rietveld, who’s been with Santana since 1990, also plays in the jazz fusion ensemble TOPAZ, and has released his own solo music.
