Steve Lawson is a most unique bassist, virtually impossible to pigeonhole. His music has been described as “new-age, post-rock, ambient-jazz, solo-bass,” making use of a wide array of gadgets and electronics. Steve has enjoyed much critical acclaim, on both sides of the Atlantic, for his live performances and solo albums.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Steve recently at the Warwick headquarters in Markneukirchen, Germany.
