Former Whitesnake bassist talks to FBPO about Burning Man, Points North, current gigs and lots more in this very entertaining video interview!
Exclusive interview with FBPO’s Jon Liebman
March 10, 2014
Bass player Uriah Duffy is best known for his work with the group Whitesnake. Though his rock bass chops are first rate, Uriah considers himself a freelance “urban” artist, feeling equally at home in funk, R&B, jazz, hip-hop and metal settings. He is based in the Bay area of California.
Since his first FBPO interview, Uriah has been busy as ever. Among the more notable gigs of late include playing eight sold out shows at the new multi-million dollar San Francisco Jazz Center with Dave Chapelle, which included playing for Talib Kweli, Tuck & Patti, Goapele and Sheila E. Most recently, Duffy performed with his band at the 2014 Anaheim Bass Bash (FBPO was there, of course!). Currently, he’s working with gospel/R&B singer Dave Hollister.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Uriah at the 2013 gathering of Bass Player Live!
