Growing up in Mullingar, Ireland, Tanya O’Callaghan got an early start on her career, having played for countless bands throughout her native land, as well as in the house bands of many Irish TV shows.

After making her mark on the Irish music scene, Tanya relocated to Los Angeles, where she quickly became an in-demand session player and traveling musician.

Equally versed in a multitude of musical genres, including rock, blues, funk and R&B, Tanya has caught the attention of a diverse list of established artists.  To date, she has performed and/or recorded with Maynard James Keenan, Orianthi, Ronnie Wood, Don Mescal, Joshua Eustis and many others.

FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Tanya at the 2015 gathering of Bass Player Live! in Hollywood, California.
