Canadian rocker on his musical journey and the gig with Slash

Todd Kerns has certainly left a blazing mark on the world of rock and roll. He currently plays bass and sings backup vocals with Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, but over the years he’s been part of countless other bands. The multi-instrumentalist got his start in the ’80s performing with various groups in his native Canada. In 1989, he formed the hard rock outfit, Electric, with his brother John and their friends Ryan and Kurt Dahle. The group later changed its name to The Age of Electric and began making big waves on Canadian radio in the mid ’90s. Beyond that. Kerns has played with Static in Stereo, Sin City Sinners, and Coverboy. As a solo artist, he’s released 2004’s Go Time and the 2014 acoustic album, Borrowing Trouble.
