John Lodge has certainly earned his spot among the rock and roll greats. As a singer, bassist, singer, and songwriter with the Moody Blues, Lodge is responsible for bringing to life classic songs like “I’m Just A Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)” and “Ride My See-Saw.” The English rocker got his start playing the Birmingham music scene with bands like El Riot & the Rebels, the Krew Kats, and the Carpetbaggers in the early 1960s. He joined the Moody Blues in 1966, replacing original bassist Clint Warwick. He’s also released several solo albums, including the new live album, The Royal Affair and After, which was released this month.
