Michael Kenney recently retired from Iron Maiden. The multi-instrumentalist had been deeply involved with the famous band for more than 40 years, serving both as its keyboardist and bass tech for the legendary Steve Harris. The native Californian has had a fascinating musical journey that’s included getting his start with soul musician Freddy O’Quinn, Jr, playing with a variety of bands along the West Coast of the United States, and eventually heading to England where he would serendipitously become immersed in the new wave of British heavy metal.
