One of Chi-towns most respected electric bassists, Frank Russell has made waves in the jazz world and beyond. He may be best known for his long-running collaborations with guitarist Henry Johnson and the African singing group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. But the Chicago-based musician has also worked with the likes of Freddie Hubbard, Ramsey Lewis, Bobby Irving, Alphonse Mouzon, Red Holt, Peter Erskine, Ken Chaney, The Spaniels, and Dee Dee Warwick. Russell has also released several of his own solo albums and currently serves as the bandleader for Windy City Jazz Electric.
