Jon:
Small world my friend: I used to watch Senior Renteria’s Father Marco Mendoza more than 35 years ago when he played at a club on Ventura Bl in Studio City CA called the La Ve Lee after I had met him at the Anaheim CA NAMM Show.
The last time I saw Marco was at the Bass Player Live giving a workshop primarily rock orientated. However, when I would see him at the La Ve Lee he would be playing contemporary Jazz on a six string fretless no doubt and singing as well: a phenomenal bassist and entertainer! 😜👍

Hey, Fritz! Small world indeed. I met Marco (the elder) around the same time. I remember La Ve Lee very well. I was also at that Bass Player Live event. You and I must have been in the same room at the same time, possibly more than once!
