Mohini Dey is a highly regarded electric bassist, arranger, producer, and vocalist from Mumbai, India. Her remarkable skill and versatility across many musical genres are redefining the boundaries of bass playing. Currently the bassist for Willow Smith, Mohini has worked with renowned artists Steve Vai, Quincy Jones, Vinnie Colauita, Jordan Rudess, Marco Minnemann, Dave Weckl, Stu Hamm, Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, and Bumblefoot to name a few. Merging her Indian musical roots with rock, funk, jazz, and metal, Mohini released her debut self-titled solo album in August 2023. After spending most of the year on tour with Willow, Mohini will soon be embarking on a European tour with guitarist Greg Howe until the end of 2024.
