How well do you think you’d do if you had to come up with a bass line using only one note?

Believe it or not, there on instances where that comes up. Sometimes, it’s just what the music needs.

When you practice playing bass, limiting your lines to a single note is a great discipline. Not only does it force you to come up with interesting and creative ways for playing bass, it’s also an amazing tool for building strength, speed, stamina and chops.

In this week’s video, I provide several examples of both approaches, with plenty of ideas for you to try on your own.

Watch it, then see what you can come up with on your own. And let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear about your experience.

Let’s play bass!
