Currently playing with Kenny Loggins’ band, Adam Nitti has been making waves in the bass world as a solo artist, recording bassist, sideman and educator for over two decades now. He’s released five of his own albums through his Renaissance Man label; the most recent of these, 2015’s Not of This World, received glowing reviews. His playing has been featured on three Grammy-winning albums and another which was nominated for a Grammy. And in addition to his work with Kenny Loggins, he’s performed or recorded with Carrie Underwood, Michael McDonald, Dave Weckl, Steven Curtis Chapman , Jon Anderson, Peter Erskine, Mike Stern, Scott Henderson and the London Symphony Orchestra, among others. Beyond that, Nitti is also an active clinician, early adopter of online music education, former columnist for Bass Player and Bass Musician magazines and serves as an adjunct faculty member of Belmont University’s School of Music and the Atlanta Institute of Music.
FBPO spoke with Nitti about working with Kenny Loggins, his new Ibanez signature bass and an upcoming solo album earlier this year at Gerald Veasley’s Bass BootCamp in Philadelphia.
