Antonella Mazza is considered by many to be one of Italy’s most highly acclaimed bass players. Antonella studied classical double bass at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan under the direction of Ezio Pederzani. She also trained with Bruce Gertz and David Clark at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Antonella’s bass playing has been featured on many international tours, recordings and television appearances. She has performed with many of Italy’s most highly regarded music stars, including Massimo Ranieri, La Crus, Fabio Volo, Ron, Soulstance and many others.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Antonella at the 2015 Warwick Bass Camp in Markneukirchen, Germany.
