Vixen guitarist talks on her experiences with Lady Gaga, Alejandro Sanz and Rachel Platten

True to her name, Britt Lightning (AKA Brittany Denaro) really knows how to rock up a storm on stage, bringing her fans to a frenzy with high-voltage licks and sizzling solos. She’s currently the guitarist for the platinum-selling female hard rock band Vixen, which reformed following the death of founding guitarist Jan Kuehnemund in 2013. And outside of that, she’s had a incredibly well-rounded career that’s included performing with singer-songwriter Rachel Platten, touring with Spanish Grammy-winner Alejandro Sanz, appearing in the rock musical Chix6 and playing in the all-female hard rock band Jaded.
FGPO’s Jon Liebman sat down with Britt during this year’s Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, California to learn more about her surprising musical beginnings, gear and ambitions for the future.
