Brittany Frompovich is a renowned electric and double bassist, music educator, and clinician based in northern Virginia. She currently teaches at the University of Mary Washington and regularly gives clinics at events such as NAMM, Gerald Veasley’s Bass BootCamp, the RVA Girls Rock Camp, the Washington Music Bass Day Summit, and the Atlanta Bass Gallery. Brittany also founded the Virginia Bass Forum, which aims to foster a sense of community for bassists in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. In 2020, Brittany served as an editor/consultant for the book Thrive And Survive in The Music Business.

    As a former student of hers, I am proud of her being able to keep doing what She does despite injury. I’m a guitarist, who dabbles in Bass, but I learn from this interview, and take away relentless passion drive in not only playing but honing my skill.
