A native of southern France, Bernard “Bunny” Brunel has had a distinctive career as a bassist and composer.

Through the years, Bunny has performed and/or recorded with Tania Maria, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Larry Coryell, Herbie Hancock, Stanley Clarke, Jack DeJohnette and many others.  He is also a founding member of Cab, a super-fusion group, featuring guitarist Tony MacAlpine, drummers Virgil Donati and Dennis Chambers and saxophonist Doug Webb.

FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Bunny at the 2016 winter NAMM show.
