Dann Glenn is a veteran electric bassist, composer, and educator. Recognized for his adventurous use of harmony and distinctive personal style, Dann has played and recorded with many rock, blues and jazz icons, including Michael Bloomfield, Freddie King, Luther Tucker, Carlos Vega, Freddie Hubbard, Lenny Castro, Jeff Berlin, Baba Elefante, and Percy Jones. He launched his career during the 1970s as a student of electric bass innovator Monk Montgomery and was a close friend of the legendary Jaco Pastorius. Besides releasing numerous albums, writing symphonies, and working on movie and television scores, Dann has also appeared as an actor in the film Johnnie Be Good, taught at the Musicians Institute (formerly Bass Institute of Technology), and authored several books.
