New England native Dave Buda has performed and/or recorded with a long list of music luminaries, including a fifteen-year run with the Boston Pops. Throughout his career, Buda has played bass for Patti LaBelle, Aaron Neville, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Martina McBride, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Kenwood Dennard and many others, including bassists Steve Bailey and Rufus Reid. Dave has also performed in the pit orchestras of Broadway shows Rent, Joseph, Grease, Miss Saigon, Hairspray and Jesus Christ Superstar.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Dave in his teaching studio at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
