This past year’s been a whole lot of fun for Berklee alum Dave Dunsire, who’s spent that time serving as the touring guitarist with Sarah Longfield and her instrumental prog project The Fine Constant. For starters, he’s had had the enviable job of complementing Longfield in a tandem where both of them get to play eight-string guitars. And touring the U.S. and Europe has allowed them to share the bill with awe-inspiring musicians like Angel Vivaldi and former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman (who’s invited Dunsire on stage to show off his impressive soloing skills).
FGPO’s Jon Liebman met up with Dunsire at this year’s Winter NAMM in Anaheim, California.
The two of them spoke about early influences, his ties to the School of Rock, an upcoming solo debut and more.
