Nashville heavyweight talks tours, sessions and why he loves his Warwick “Star” bass!
Exclusive video interview with FBPO’s Jon Liebman
July 4, 2016
Hawaii native Dave Roe has been a Nashville resident since the early ‘80s and has consistently served as a prominent member of that city’s music scene ever since. In addition to the twelve years he spent as the last bass player in Johnny Cash’s band, Roe has performed and/or recorded with a long list of music luminaries, including Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Dwight Yoakam, Mel Tillis, Dottie West, Duane Eddy, Faith Hill and countless others. Dave just returned home to Nashville after a month-long tour of the UK with Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Dave at the 2016 summer NAMM show.
