Gary Grainger is an electric bassist from Baltimore, MD, widely known for his work with John Scofield and Acoustic Alchemy. He has performed and/or recorded with acclaimed artists including Eumir Deodato, Nancy Wilson, Lonnie Liston Smith, George Duke, Dennis Chambers, and Eric Marienthal. Grainger also performs in the band Pockets, which which has often toured as the opening act for Earth, Wind & Fire. Gary has been performing lately with the Mike Stern Band, along with Dennis Chambers, and is looking forward to performances in 2025 with the Paul Reed Smith Eightlock Band and ’70s funk/jazz-fusion/pop tribute acts around Baltimore.
