A native of Brazil, Isaias Elpes gained notoriety as a bassist and session player in Sao Paulo in his early twenties. After studying music, as well as earning a degree in accounting, Isaias left Brazil to pursue a master of music degree at Shepherd University in Los Angeles, where he received a full scholarship and studied with bass legend Abraham Laboriel. In 2014, Elpes released a solo CD, Isaias Elpes.
