Detroit native Kern Brantley has played bass for an ever-growing list of music icons, including Aretha Franklin, Beyoncé, Earl Klugh, Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Boyz II Men, Grover Washington Jr. and many more. Since 2010, Kern has been performing and touring as a member of Lady Gaga’s band.

FBPO’s Jon Liebman sat down with Kern at the 2016 Warwick Bass Camp in Markneukirchen, Germany.
