Kevin Freeby is an electric bassist, writer, arranger, and teacher based in Southern California. A former Resident Instructor at Bass San Diego, he has performed worldwide as a sideman and taught in the San Diego area for nearly two decades. Over the years, Kevin has worked with a long list of notable musicians including Karl Denson, Jason Mraz, Marco Minnemann, Virgil Donati, The Billy Preston Band, Mike Pope, Derek Sherinian, and Tony MacAlpine. More recently, he has been building a strong social media following on Instagram and YouTube with his virtuosic technique videos and creative arrangements of popular tunes.
