Lauren Pierce is a Chicago-based classical double bassist, soloist, and educator with an international performance and teaching career.
She has performed with major ensembles including the Dallas Opera, Melbourne Symphony, Iris Collective, Austin Symphony, and Chicago Sinfonietta. Her expertise as a soloist and performer has led to guest residencies and masterclasses at top music schools such as NYU, SUNY Stony Brook, James Madison University, the University of North Texas, and Central Washington University. In addition to her live performance work, Lauren is known for her online double bass lessons and educational videos, reaching thousands of students through her popular YouTube channel and social media platforms. Her teaching content has been featured by Classic FM, The Strad, NoTreble, and The Entrepreneurial Musician, helping aspiring bassists around the world learn how to play double bass online. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Lauren studied at the University of South Carolina and trained under renowned bassists Craig Butterfield and Jeff Bradetich.
