Learning Bass Late in Life? Hell Yes.

Because growing old is mandatory. Giving up rock and roll isn’t.

As someone who’s learning bass ‘kind of late’ in life, do you ever feel disappointed or discouraged that you’re not making progress fast enough?

Have you ever felt like quitting?

Whoa! Hold on a minute, there.

First, you should know you’re not the only one who’s ever felt that way. I’ve got a list of stories a mile long about students of mine in their 60s, 70s, even 80s, who had a million reasons why they couldn’t learn bass, often resorting to the “Who am I kidding?” category.

Then I helped them discover how to enjoy the process of learning bass, and how consistently making improvements, no matter how small, can make all the difference in the world.

The results were often life-changing! Now they’re playing their favorite songs on the bass, experiencing first-hand the music they’ve loved for so many years, and finding incredible joy and fulfillment along the way.

Check out this week’s video — and prepare to be inspired.

Be sure to leave a comment below with your takeaways. I’d like to know how this approach resonates with you.

Let’s play bass!
