Marco Mendoza has led a pretty mind-blowing career, working with some of the most well-known names in rock and roll. A native of Mexico, he spent his formative years in Tijuana and started playing guitar while he was still very young. Things really got rolling for him, however, in the late ’80s, when he began collaborating with Bill Ward of Black Sabbath. From there he’s gone on to play with an amazing list of bands and artists that includes Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Whitesnake, Blue Murder, The Dead Daisies, Neal Schon, and Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries. A composer and vocalist as well, Marco’s released three solo albums including his most recent, Viva La Rock. Mendoza is also the author of Showtime, an illustrated book that reflects back on his life in music.
