Michael Klinghoffer is a double bassist, conductor and educator. A former student of bass legend Gary Karr, Mr. Klinghoffer performs solo concerts, recitals and chamber music. He also conducts master classes in Israel and abroad.
Klinghoffer has held the position of assistant principal bass player in the Israel Symphony Orchestra and in the Israel Sinfonietta. He has published articles on music education and pedagogy in Israel and the U.S.
Since 1987, Klinghoffer has been a faculty member of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he currently serves as Dean of Performing Arts and Senior Lecturer.
