Mike Pope is a highly accomplished upright and electric bass virtuoso based in Baltimore, MD. He has performed and recorded with jazz icons including Chick Corea, John Patitucci, the Brecker Brothers, Nate Smith, Bill Bruford, Al DiMeola, Gil Evans, and Blood, Sweat & Tears.

As a composer and bandleader, Mike has released several critically acclaimed albums, the most recent being The Parts You Keep, which came out on August 22. Beyond performing, he serves as “Creator in Residence” at Trickfish Amplification and runs Vatican City Sound, where he designs innovative gear and records music he’s passionate about.

Mike is also a respected educator, currently serving as Associate Professor of Bass at Berklee College of Music.
