Robert Harper is a prolific bassist who wears many hats in the music industry as a producer, arranger, songwriter, composer, and rapper. He first gained notoriety from his collaborations with funk bass legends Robert Wilson (The Gap Band) and Louis Johnson (The Brothers Johnson) after studying at the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, CA. Since then, Harper has forged an illustrious career as a session player, touring and performing bassist, and independent recording artist who serves as a voting member of the Recording Academy. He currently resides in Waldorf, MD.
