Robert Hurst is a musician whose reputation precedes him. A noted composer, educator, and bandleader, he’s won seven Grammys and four Emmys and contributed to several RIAA-certified multi-platinum and gold recordings. As for collaborations, the Michigan-based bassist has played or recorded with the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Wynton Marsalis, Dave Brubeck, Pharoah Sanders, Harry Connick Jr., Sting, and Ravi Coltrane. He currently teaches at the University of Michigan and is a longtime bassist with pianist/vocalist Diana Krall.
