Ryan Madora is a real asset to the bass community. First and foremost, the Nashville bassist is a stellar musician; she’s currently touring with guitar virtuoso Robben Ford, regularly works with Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots and has shared the stage with artists like Garth Brooks, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Hanson. These days, she keeps herself more than a little busy with session work, live gigs and music production and direction. And, if you’re interested in hearing some of her original work, she also released an album called The Interludes back in 2015, with a band of the same name that also includes drummer Lynn Williams and keyboardist Billy Nobel.
But beyond that Madora is also an educator who taught at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, Gerald Veasley’s Bass Boot Camp, and Musicians Institute: Guitar Craft Academy, as well as an online columnist who regularly writes about bass-related topics.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with the multi-talented Ms. Madora during a recent interview in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that covered musical beginnings, influences like Nirvana and James Jamerson and her goals for the future.

I had the great please of taking a class Ryan taught during Gerald Veasley’s Bass Bootcamp. What a wonderful, open and giving instructor! My best 90 minutes of learning in 2019! Thanks Ryan!
