Heavy metal heavyweight tells of life outside Mudvayne, including current collaboration with Bon Lozaga, Warwick basses and more
Exclusive video interview with FBPO’s Jon Liebman
April 4, 2016
Ryan Martinie is best known as the bassist for Illinois-based heavy metal band Mudvayne, in which he performed for more than a decade.
Over the years, Ryan has been lauded for his extraordinary bass technique, including his unique tapping style, double stops, chords, percussive attack and harmonics, all of which he uses to create often complex bass lines and driving rock grooves. While away from Mudvayne, Ryan has kept busy with other projects, most notably a collaboration with guitarist Bon Lozaga.
FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Ryan at the Warwick booth at the 2016 winter NAMM Show.
