The best way to learn songs on the bass!

Do this and you’ll be well positioned to predict what chords are coming up next

A lot of my students have told me how frustrated they feel at their inability to learn songs on the bass. They say it’s really holding them back.

Actually, learning songs is a lot easier than you think. When you know the secret, that is. There are only so many places a chord progression can go, right?

In this week’s lesson, I demonstrate the one thing that exists in (darn near!) every song ever written, and how, once you learn to recognize a few simple patterns, you’ll be off to the races.

Then, when you factor in the “awesome consistency and symmetry” of the bass I’m always talking about, it’s even more amazing!

Watch the video below and learn how you can take your ear training to a whole new level. It’ll help you gain the ability to recognize certain chord changes and predict what’s likely to come up next.

Be sure to leave a comment below, sharing your experiences when trying to learn songs, including what worked and what didn’t. I’d love to hear your story.

Let’s play bass!
