In addition to his decades-long gig as bassist for saxophonist Kenny G and extensive touring with Keb’ Mo’, Seattle native Vail Johnson has performed and/or recorded with the likes of George Benson, Eric Marienthal, Herbie Hancock, Peabo Bryson, David Benoit, Whitney Houston, Stevie Nicks, Frank Gambale, Steve Perry and countless others.

FBPO’s Jon Liebman caught up with Vail recently to talk about his newest solo release, The Seventh Son.
