6th generation bluegrass player talks of bringing the genre into the 21st century

Wayne Brewer is a 6th generation bluegrass player, holding down bass and fiddle duties in the family band, Gary Brewer & the Kentucky Ramblers. The Grammy-nominated group, founded by Wayne’s dad Gary, plays their own style of American Roots music they call “Brewgrass.” GBKR has performed extensively in all 50 states, Canada, and Europe. Wayne, who started his musical career at the age of 18 months, is in the Guinness Book of World Records as “The Youngest Recording Artist.” He also has the distinction of being the youngest artist ever to perform on the Grand Ole Opry Stage. He also happens to be a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
