Christian Fabian is an outstanding and energetic bassist, composer, and bandleader with a fascinating story. Born in Sweden, raised in Germany, he’s performed all throughout Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Hungary. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in performance and film scoring. In addition to being the longtime bassist and co-leader of the Lionel Hampton Band, Christian has performed and/or recorded with Mike Longo, Gary Burton, Danny Gottlieb, Lewis Nash, Jason Marsalis, Rick Margitza, Elvin Jones, Bob Mintzer, Chaka Khan, and many others. He’s also studied with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Billy Taylor, and Ron Carter, and has released several stunning albums as a leader.
