Lake Street Dive bassist shares details on band’s twenty-plus year history, latest solo album

Bridget Kearney is the bassist and founding member of globally acclaimed soul/pop band Lake Street Dive. Iowa-born and currently Brooklyn-based, Bridget went to school in Boston where she double-majored in jazz bass at the New England Conservatory and English at Tufts University. During that time, she won Grand Prize in the 2005 John Lennon Songwriting Contest while Lake Street Dive was emerging on the Boston scene. Having recorded eight studio albums and one live album with the band over the last two decades, Bridget also released three solo albums under her own name, including the most recently released Comeback Kid in April 2024. Bridget will be on tour with Lake Street Dive for the rest of 2025 supporting their latest album, Good Together, released in June 2024.
