Grammy-winning rock guitar icon played with the Yardbirds, Jeff Beck Group

Rock guitar icon Jeff Beck passed away yesterday after a brief bout with bacterial meningitis.
The following statement was made on Beck’s Twitter page:
On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.

WOW! Jeff was one of the greatest guitarists in history and had his own style which is very difficult with the myriad of great guitarists. I really enjoyed his collaborations with Jan Hammer and Stanley Clarke. R.I.P.
